Engineering Pilot with Prototype DT Saber (Production Color)
This is a marked engineering pilot prototype figure with a prototype DT saber in production (corrected) color.
Using the same molds as the translucent
DT sabers, a very, very small number of this type of DT saber were produced. Examples have shown up similar to this Vader, Obi Wan and Luke figures.
In total, there are 4 different types of molds
that were used to create a variety of sabers. The classic or production, 3 break points design is the final version, and is the most "commonly" found.
As a note regarding Engineering Pilots: you must without question, be sure of your
source, and documentation. Some figures are marked, some are not. In *most* cases, the only was to identify an E.P. from a production figure is the source and/or documentation.
